Lagoon pollution is a big issue in Negombo

Illegal filling is a big issue to the Negombo lagoon. With the help of politicians, there are several cases now taking place around the lagoon.
The responsible government institutions also failed to stop this. There is a widespread criticism towards these initiations due to there inability to prevent theses moves.
The very recent filling took place just within the 200m to the Negombo police station. Coastal departments office and to the DS office alone the main road.

The lagoon fillers use caterpillars and bakkos for the filing while the there was an statement issued buy the Negombo police to stop it.
Our question is whom are behind them ……?
