A Tamil was shot dead in Negombo



Sivarathna sivakumar (36) who reside in no 71/4 Jude place Thaladuwa road Negombo was shot dead last night by two unidentified gunmen who came by a motor bike.
Mr. sivakumar originally from Jaffna now reside in Negombo since 1983, owner of the Shri devi shoe palace in Negombo Supermarket.
Aftet the incident their relatives rushed to bring him to the Negombo hospital and then transferred to the Ragama , died on the way to the hospital.

Parents staged a peaceful demonstration in front of the Negombo prison






Demanding the immediate release of their loved ones parents and relative had organized a protest just in front of the Negombo Prison today.
Sinahala and Tamil relatives had attended the protest.
TNA MP Mr. Ravi Raj and Mr. Suresh premachndra visted the Negombo prison and had meetings with prisoners whom are on a hunger strike.
Mp Mr. Raviraj said sinhala news papers had lot to do bringing the issue and he asked the sinhala crowd to urge to the sinhala media to highlight the issue.

Displaced Muttur families are now in Negombo?






Due to the April aerial bombing by the SL Air force ,people from Kunathive have left their viallge ,moved to place to place ,finally they have reached to Negombo last Friday.
There was a meeting organized by the displaced them selves at a day care center in Periyamulla ,Negombo.
According to the collected sources there are 32 families comprise of 91 persons.
The displaced people were waiting more than 2 hours for Ads Negombo to come to the which he promised yet didn’t come.
One mother told to Meepura news ….We cant go back to Muttur and also no place to stay in Negombo , its so difficult to stay with their realtives so long and most of them are not the owners of the houses much of the houses belong to the sinhales families and they don’t wants other s to stay than the persons they rented out.

And she told that they are really helpless yet know one here to share their fate.?

2 deaths in one day at Negobmo prison

Incident-
left Sri Lanka on 2006 january 28 to Amman to go to Swiss, yet deported from Amman to Sri Lanka on 2006 january 31 since then in the negombo prison, Sugandhini was a asthma patient for long time according to their their parents,there fore they have urged to the Authorities for her bail out yet no good answer came .

2006.June 05 th early morning she got sick no officers attend ,although her friends shouted and made noises to get the attention of officers. yet no one shown up.
.then she died .only then the officers had brought her to the hospital. According to the hospital sources they could not able to do anything since she was already dead when they brought her.

On the same day another person got sick and brought him to the Negombo hospital and had died around 10.15pm June 05 th
.The mother and the relatives of Sugandhini came to the Negobmo hospital for the postmortem on June 06 th morning,from Jaffna, after the postmotum then the body was brought to funeral paler in Negombo and left for jaffna around 10 pm
